I’ve been wanting to write this post for almost a month now. Truth is, I’m always busy doing ten things at the same time. An example: texting. Send me a text and I will probably read it but I’ll get back to you when I have more time.
If you’re one of those people who gets a reply from me within an hour, it means that: 1) you’re really important to me, 2) you’re just really lucky, 3) I’m just bored. It’s probably the second one, or a combination of n° 2 and 3. Hey, I think I just found my first resolution: make more time.
Secondly, I don’t want anything toxic anymore. I’m not talking about nutrition or anything. Well, maybe a little bit. It’s time to get healthy and be more active. That is something I’ll have to keep in mind, but I was talking about toxic things in general. As for people, I want nothing but genuinely good people in my life. I’ve known so many disappointments and I’ve had enough. Toxic people have to go.
What’s next? Meet new people. I want to meet new people, exchange stories and surround myself with positive energy.
Next up: no more stress. I have no idea how to do this. It’s impossible but I need to try it anyway. Seriously, everything in life stresses me out. I’m not talking about healthy stress but I’m talking about the unhealthy kind. The kind of stress that starts to infect your health. No more toxic people = no more stress? Hmm, sounds like this might work.
Things to stop doing: stop negative thinking and stop pleasing other people. I can and I will, something like that. I will do what I want to do, not what others want me to. Last one, stop worrying and stop thinking too much. ‘What if?’ If you would have done something differently, the outcome would have been different. Better or worse? It doesn’t matter because it’s in the past. It’s too late to change anything. Now all I have to do is convince myself.
Anyway, who knows what this year will bring?
That said, we’re done for today. Do you have any New Year’s resolutions? Would love to hear them!
